Employment and Training Services: We Develop Jobs

Matching jobs to people with disabilities is the primary goal of Employment Services. We provide qualified employees who are ready, willing and able to be productive members of your business. We provide training assistance before and during the placement and provide ongoing support services to both employer and employee.

WE PROVIDE

Vocational Evaluation
Situational Assessment
Job Analysis
Transfer Skills Analysis
Job Placement Services
Job Seeking Skills Training
Job Training
Job Coaching
Continuing Supportive Service

Vocational Assessment and Situational Assessment Services are time-limited and focus on an individual's strengths, aptitude skills, interest, experience, limitations and any barriers to employment. A number of assessment tools are utilized in addition to contacts, consultants and referral information that includes: school records, psychological reports and medical information. Situational Assessment focuses on a chosen vocation in actual work settings.

Job Placement Services assist individuals in choosing, obtaining and maintaining employment commensurate with their abilities and vocational interests as well as with their social, psychological, communication, environmental and medical needs. Job Placement Services are provided according to individual needs. This planned process begins with a review of initial referral information and an intake interview. Placement will be based on the individual's vocational profile and assessment results.

The right job match is critical. During job development, employers are contacted and, if needed, adaptive measures are facilitated to insure a successful placement. Agreement is reached between the referrer, individual and job-placement staff before accepting a position. Ongoing job support is provided for 60-90 days, according to authorized contract,  after placement and may include employer contact, training and job coaching.

Job Seeking Skills Training prepares individuals for procuring employment through interviewing skills, résumé development, market searches and job development plans.

Job Training and Job Coaching assist the individual with developing the necessary vocational skills and work performance to maintain competitive employment. Job Coaching provides the amount of support needed by each individual. Job Coaches foster natural supports between the employee and employer and gradually fade out of the picture.
