Our Team

Meet our Executive Team.

Leigh Gallivan Mahoney
President and CEO
Allied Community Services

Leigh Gallivan Mahoney, President and CEO, comes to the Allied Group after a long career in various  leadership roles in education and human services. Her commitment to serving individuals marginalized by disability, trauma, and disadvantage began as a teacher working with justice-involved youth with complex developmental needs in a secure setting in Massachusetts. This unique experience was the beginning of a career spanning education, treatment, advocacy, program development, and organizational leadership. It is also where the principles that guide her work took root—a belief that the individuals we serve already have what they need; our job is to simply remove the obstacles in their way.

Leigh has extensive experience in program design, working in settings ranging from schools to residential programs and those in the community; as well as experience in organizational strategy, creating staff development, communications, and business model systems.   Leigh is a licensed teacher and special education administrator. Leigh holds a Bachelor of Arts from Westfield State University and an M.Ed. from American International College—but most of what informs her professional work has been learned from the individuals she has served.
