We offer comprehensive day services for adults with disabilities designed to enhance each participant’s ability to experience an independent, meaningful, and productive day. Our person-centered approach creates individualized learning experiences tailored to each participant’s unique needs, interests, and goals.

Day Program

Our Approach

Serving adults from their early twenties into their eighties, Allied’s Day Program team focuses on helping participants achieve a meaningful day.

Our dedicated staff brings high positive energy to every activity, ensuring meaningful participation and engagement. Through verbal encouragement, modeling, and appropriate hands-on assistance, we help each participant achieve success at their own pace. Activities are thoughtfully adapted to match individual abilities and preferences, creating opportunities for growth and accomplishment.

Activities

Our program is structured around five specialized areas: Enrichment, Community Connections, Journeys, Social Experiences, and Fit Tech. This framework allows us to address the diverse interests and developmental goals of our participants while maintaining a cohesive, supportive environment.

Participants engage in a rich variety of activities, including cooking classes, exercise programs, walking groups, music and movement activities, volunteering opportunities, community experiences, garden club, pet therapy, and other specialized interventions.

Admission & Referrals

Applicants must be at least 18 years of age. Records and medical background are requested as part of the referral process. After admission, each individual’s skills are assessed in order to develop an individualized plan of services. Goals are set in major areas of vocational development, and community integration.

Referrals are subject to approval by Allied Community Services, Inc. and the State of Connecticut, Department of Developmental Disabilities.
