For more than 60 years, Allied Community Services has been a trusted partner for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities across Connecticut — and the numbers reflect that commitment. From the breadth of our programs to the depth of our community connections, here’s a small snapshot of the impact we’re making together.
Our son has attended Allied’s Day Program for several years, including through the challenges of the post-COVID period. Allied excels at providing a stable, safe environment, and their communication is consistently prompt and professional. They have always been a strong advocate for our son — thoughtful, compassionate, and responsive to his changing needs. We take great comfort in knowing Allied will continue to be an important part of his life in the years ahead.
Debbie has been part of the Allied community since 1964. Now 68, she attends Allied’s Day Program, where she thrives socially — enjoying dances, friendships, and Special Olympics competitions in swimming and track and field, where she’s earned many medals. Debbie also lives in an Allied residence, where she receives 24-hour care from a dedicated team. She eagerly looks forward to seeing her peers and favorite staff on a daily basis. As a family, we are extremely thankful for the community Allied has given our big sister, Debbie.
